my final look for this NYE makeup bash is the classic deep black smokey eye. it’s flattering on everyone and never goes out of style.
I’ve also used my Zoeva Cocoa Blend and the Gwen Stefani for Urban Decay palettes, but feel free to mix and mess around with what you have at hand. I went for cool toned cheeks and lips to give a pop of understated colour to the rest of the face.
just a quick tip: if you’re struggling with your black eyeshadow because it’s falling out everywhere and not sticking to your lid, spray a bit of something like M.A.C. Fix+ or Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray on the brush before you pick up the product. it’s going to make it oh so much easier.
From the Zoeva pallete, I used the shades Bitter Start (brow bone) and Substitute for Love (lighter brown on the crease); and from the UD Palette I used Punk (deeper crease shade) and Blackout (matte black on the lid). for the bonus points, I used the gold colour 1987 from the UD palette (inner half of the lid and under the inner lower lash line), but you can go for silvers, coloured metallics, glitters, you name it. it’s a massive pop of sparkle against the black that will remind you of fireworks!
I lined the inner rims of the eyes and added a small flick with L’Oréal Infallible 24h Lacquer Liner in Black, and packed on Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.
