Ok, so the trendy colour for this year — as The Word Of The Internet has declared through that weird abstract decision-maker that is Pantone Colour of the Year — will be Ultra-Violet. All in all, purples will be The Thing. Buckle up.
Albeit a very flattering colour on basically everyone, it’s not considered an “everyday colour” for many. So this is the perfect excuse for me to play with purple and bring you some ideas on how to wear it.
I’m planning a few iterations on purple combos, so keep your eyes peeled. Of course my weapon of choice will always be some smokey eye looks, but let’s just wait and see.
Also, if you’re interested, I can do a blog post with a run down of my purple collection (which is bigger than I anticipated, when I started opening up palettes)… let me know!
What I wore for this tutorial:
Maybelline Super Stay Foundation
Colour Pop No Filter Concealer
RCMA No Colour Powder
Colour Pop Super Shock Blush in Rain
Stila Heaven’s Hue Highlighter in Kitten
Viseart Theory IV Amethyst palette
Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blacquer
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
Clinique Lash Power Mascara
Marc Jacobs Poutliner in slow Burn
Sephora Collection #Lipstories Satin Finish in 06 Tan Lines
Model Co Super Lips Gloss in Biz (Look Fantastic used to stock this brand — that’s where I got the gloss from —, but it seems that they’ve pulled out of the E.U. market… any nude gloss will do, anyway).
Love the purple look. I need to try it soon x
