make up favourites 2021

this was a year full of great makeup discoveries – not necessarily launched in 2021, but that I came across and fell in love with this past year –, many of which I’m certain will stay front and center in my collection for a long time.
so grab a cup of your favourite beverage and tag along while I try to collect my thoughts on all the pretty shiny things I’ve encountered last year!

all about my foundations . tag

oooh, I’ve been wanting to do this for so long and a subscriber finally gave me the much needed kick in the butt to get on with it.

I got the tag from TTSandra (a gorgeous and super classy Canadian YouTuber, by the way), and added a couple of questions. if you want to carry on with the tag, feel free to pick it up from here :)

2020 favourites . make up

Some people had huge artistic impulses and took the added time some of us had to play with make up with the freedom of a kid with watercolours. Sadly, it was not my case. Nonetheless, I still found som great gems that became staples in my make up routine, and that let me feel I wasn’t totally falling into a rut.

Here they are…

Clinique old favourites (and a new flirt)

Sometimes I like to look at my beauty stash by brand to see what is my curated selection from it. Clinique is a brand I never noticed I had a strong relationship with, until I realised that some of their products are actually re-re-re-re-purchases. In this day and age of trends and companies coming out with new launches that they shove down your throat, this means A LOT (quite more than stuff I buy once and move on to the next new shiny equivalent from any other brand).

Here’s my curated selection of besties from Clinique (and a new fling I’m into at the moment):

Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm
Fresh Pressed System
Beyond Perfecting Foundation
Lash Power Mascara
Beyond Perfecting Concealer

Colour Pop Luxe Lipsticks

Some people ask me why, of all things overseas, I keep purchasing stuff from Colour Pop.

Well, even with the steep customs, each product comes out at around 8€. and the quality of almost every single item I bought is top notch.

Enter the Lux Lipsticks. I’ve mentioned so many products on my channel, now I’ve decided to make a dedicated video just to my little lip wardrobe. The formula is high-end equivalent, the packaging is not only cute but expensive-feeling. They have so many colours it’s easy to make a curated selection of lipsticks for any occasion.
They can be used sheered out or full-impact with one swipe, mixed for new colours and topped up with some cool glosses for extra shine. Despite my lips being quite dry, these lipsticks — especially the bolder colours — are quite forgiving.

All in all, I haven’t found anything like these within this price range. So let my addiction run free.
