disappointing products 2019

If one of your favourites is on this list, please remember: the products hated *me* first!

Favourites 2019 — make up

Here’s my list of some of the precious little trinkets that kept me busy and still in love with make up last year :)

2019 skincare favourites

Cerave Micellar Water — don’t know why, I can’t seem to find it online outside of the Portuguese and the United States websites, which are only informative…
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra 8 Face Mist
Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream Mist
Garden Of Wisdom Anti-Ageing Multi-Peptide Serum
Cerave Facial Moisturising Lotion (PM and AM with SPF)
Paula’s Choice Calm Non-Greasy Mineral Moisturiser SPF 30 (there’s a version for dry skin)
Paula’s Choice Defense Essential Glow Moisturiser SPF 30
La Roche Posay Cicaplast Lèvres
Fresh Tinted Lip Treatment Spf 15 in Rosé
Lanolips Tinted Lip Balm with SPF 15 — can’t find Spice, but the nude one is really pretty too.
Mentioned: Lanolips 101 Ointment
Ben&Anna Natural Deodorant in Vanilla Orchard (you may want to check your local Organic Food store)
Nioxin 3 Step System in nº2 (Natural Hair with Progressed Thinning) — I advise you to browse the brand’s website to make sure you make the best choices for your hair’s needs.

returns…?

me writing this because it’s meta and the coffee shop is cute

Hey, how have you all been?

Suddenly, it’s been almost a year since my last video.
On my Instagram, I’ve posted about 5 pictures. So it’s been basically… radio silence.
Do I owe you an explanation? I’m sure everyone did just fine during my absence, yet I feel I created a bond with this weird virtual entity that is you guys.

Won’t lie: 2019 was the roughest year to date and every turn seemed to bring more twists to bring me down. Picture a 1990’s video game with boomerangs flying all over and hitting me in the head…

I must say makeup and skincare have not been on the top of my priorities, but, surprisingly enough, even during my worse moments, those little rituals provided me some solace, some comfort, and the seeming chore of doing my skincare routine in the evening was something that made me feel slightly more… normal. Self-care and all that, I guess.
Also, YouTube has provided me with many hours of entertainment, or, at least, something to keep my mind out of reality.

So… Yeah, now that things seem to be settling down I noticed I missed filming, playing with makeup, and I’m pondering coming back.

There’s a couple of pros and cons, of course.
The biggest thing I’m dwelling on is: is it worth it? Would you like to hang out with me again on some Sunday mornings?

I’ll be here waiting to know what the 3 of you think ;)

Affordable and amazing hyaluronic love

Stocking up and meeting new friends: One of the best purchases I have made this year was Hada Labo Hyaluronic lotion. It nourishes your skin with different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, it’s a liquid just slightly viscous that you pat onto the skin after cleansing and it leaves you feeling plump and fresh. In the long run, my wrinkles are slightly less deep (even around the eyes) and my breakout-prone skin is far more balanced than it ever was. Oh, and one bottle lasts me for months. The best hyaluronic anything I’ve tried, it’s great for AM and/or PM routines, after a resurfacing mask, to combat retinol and environmental dryness, doing the #sevenskinmethod, restoring nourishment on a plane… and you only need to choose the right version for your skin and environment (light or moist for oilier/humid, premium for dry skin or very dry environment – the premium being a tad more viscous and nourishing). It suits all ages, too. Of course I wanted to dabble deeper into the HL brand and I now bought their Hyaluronic Mist (needs no introduction, does it?), and the @pyunkangyul essence toner to dig deeper on this concept. Will let you know how it goes ;) I get all these goodies from @yesstyle #beautyreview #hadalabohyaluronic #hyaluronicacid #instabeautyreview #almost40 #beautyyoutuber #greatfinds #affordablebeauty #affordableskincare #skincare #skincareaddict #skincareover35 #hydrateyourskin #instaskincare
