Autumn is here, with its sudden weather changes (oh, having to carry a coat all day, sweating profusely, because you know you’ll desperately need it at the end of the day), and our skin takes a toll.
today I’m focusing on products that you can amp up during this time (despite some being year-round favourites), because darker days come in favour of more intense resurfacing skincare (you still have to use SPF, no cheating) and because your skin is going to need your help to boost the hydration levels under harsh air conditioning and brittle cold wind.
I was going out with some friends that evening, after filming my mini-haul video, so I decided to record myself getting ready, and use some (plenty) of my current favourite products. Some you’re sick and tired of hearing me talk about, some I’ve done reviews on, some may be a new discovery for you.
I hope you enjoy this video. All the links to the products are down below.
all about my favourites to get (part of) that golden glow I used to have as a kid, without sitting in the sun. because ain’t nobody got time fo’ that!
Vita Liberata pHenomenal Self-Tanning Mousse — the most affordable I found was at Beauty Bay, but Cult Beauty carries more shades, like Feelunique and Look Fantastic — so it’s a matter of looking out for promotions.
La Roche-Posay Autohelios can be found on Look Fantastic and Feelunique
James Reed H2O Tan Mist can be found also on Look Fantastic and Feelunique
Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster is widely available in local stores, and you can also find it on Feelunique.
I’ve never done one of these before… How did I go?
Aside from the spinach and lipstick on my teeth, I mean.
oh, you have to go and watch again because you couldn’t stop staring? ok, I’ll wait…
I’ll just leave you here a list of the products mentioned.
although I have a great time with Lush’s bath bombs, bath mets and overall fun stuff, to me Lush is an overall really solid green-oriented brand with great products in all ranges. Lush is hardcore cruelty-free, many of their products are vegan, and they claim all of the chemicals they still use on their products (fragrance, sulfates, preservatives) to not be harmful for the skin, especially in the concentrations they use.
I had to had to do a video on my everyday Lush favourites.
nose disclaimer: I love soft, creamy, nutty scents, vanilla absolute, and then soft roses, coconut and coffee sort of aromas. not too much into the strongly fruity, tropical, sickening sweet or floral end of the smell spectrum. but all of this has to do with preferences, right? nothing like giving it a whiff in store ;)
here I am, shorter hair, don’t care, for the rundown of my favourite makeup finds from 2016. it has been a heck of a year, and I had a lot of trouble sifting through so much awesomeness.
but I think I got it to a pretty nice list. I hope you enjoy!
what about you? which were the amazing makeup treasures you found in 2016? please do share!
concluding my last week’s post on affordable makeup, here are my treats for eyes and lips!

I really picky with any makeup, so I don’t settle for a compromise “just because it’s cheap”. here are my favourite makeup products for the face that happen to be affordable.
