Summer experiences and finds: This @cliniqueportugal Fresh Pressed system was on my radar because #CarolineHironsmademedoit and I decided 10 days away was the best moment to test it out. The cleanser is a powder in sachets (less liquids, yay!), and each sachet has enough for morning and evening second cleanse. It foams up beautifully but does not dry out the skin. You only need two drops of the serum mixed in with your hydrating serum, oil or moisturiser, so, again, very portable, the formula is not compromised because it’s sealed in the component, and lasts more than the 7 days. . My skin managed to be quite balanced and not get more hyperpigmentation despite being exposed to the mountain air and sun. It’s a beautiful vacation treat (pick it up at the airport!) or every once in a while intensive treatment (it can also be a staple for you, if you can afford the price tag). Mild enough to use even if your vacations are in the sun. . Vitamin C is the master anti-oxidant, prevents and diminishes discolouration and hyperpigmentation, and boosts collagen on your skin. . #skincare #vitaminc #cliniquefreshpressed #almost40 #combinationskin #acneproneskin #antioxidants #travelskincare #traveltoiletries #beautyover35 #skincareaddict

spending several hours in an airport and then on an airplane sucks the life out of your skin. if you’re facing jet lag or if you’ve had and intense few days prior to flying, that takes it to a whole other level.
as much as doing your skincare before going into the airport is super important, I find that trying to maintain the hydration levels during the flight is super important.
these are the steps I’ve been taking on my flights, and if yours are longer, just repeat them every few hours and slather on some overnight mask like the one from Laneige on top.
also, I never do my makeup when I’m flying, but if you’re in a pinch and need to be all done up by the time you step out of the plane, I’ve added a simple makeup routine to inspire you.
plus, if in your liquids bag you just add your cleanser(s) and some vitamin C, you’re basically all prepped up for your skincare while away ;)
the packing list for this long weekend.
how often do you skip on doing a more elaborate makeup look because you only have 10 minutes to get out of the house?
I did my makeup and skincare in 11 minutes this morning, so I had to show you these quick and easy steps. fresh skin, mostly finger painting, a swipe of glitter and multi-tasking products. Bob’s your uncle!
oooh, I definitely saved the juiciest for last.
these were my skincare star products for this year, and I believe many will be on my routine for a long long time.
tried and tested by yours truly, I hope you enjoy my recommendations. make a good use out of any sales that show up online — that’s how I get most of my skincare. now don’t forget to share your favourites!
for now, I wish you happy holidays, stay warm, cozy, and stress-free, and I’ll see you in 2018!
Autumn is here, with its sudden weather changes (oh, having to carry a coat all day, sweating profusely, because you know you’ll desperately need it at the end of the day), and our skin takes a toll.
today I’m focusing on products that you can amp up during this time (despite some being year-round favourites), because darker days come in favour of more intense resurfacing skincare (you still have to use SPF, no cheating) and because your skin is going to need your help to boost the hydration levels under harsh air conditioning and brittle cold wind.
if you’re like me and you don’t like to leave the house without your precious skincare and makeup, but also feel ridiculous by checking in your bag for a 3-day trip just because of the liquids-security issue, this video may just come in handy.
grab a cup of your favourite beverage, because this is going to be a long one…
Here’s another unboxing for you. This one had me wondering about what happened this month and, when I went to do the maths… I got even more suspicious… I talked about it on my Insta Stories, also.
I’ve never done one of these before… How did I go?
Aside from the spinach and lipstick on my teeth, I mean.
oh, you have to go and watch again because you couldn’t stop staring? ok, I’ll wait…
I’ll just leave you here a list of the products mentioned.
