a bold-sheer lippie suggestion that won’t bankrupt you

Bourjois Shine Edition

this summer it’s all about those creamy sheer lipsticks with a punch of colour. I’m all for it, but I’m not in thinking of splurging on Bobbi Brown, Estée Lauder, Urban Decay or Clinique.
I’m on a #shopyourstash mode, and I couldn’t be happier: I found a few lipsticks from Bourjois, from the Shine Edition Collection that I’ve had for quite a while and that have that same effect, and that you can find for under 13€ a piece (about half the price of some of the on-trend ones).

of course the bolder colours pack a bit more of a punch, as the more nude ones can be a bit more sheer (especially of you have a naturally more dark lip colour), but I think that comes with most lipsticks with this same formulation and finish.
they feel quite hydrating on the lips, they’re shiny without being sticky, and the bold colours leave a soft stain behind after fading, and I love the packaging. you can reach for the colour you want without having to open the tube.

so I’ve posted swatches of the colours I own, in case you want to give these a go. 26 and 24 are your basic nudes (the first more on the beige side, the second on a pinky vibe), 21 is your classic bright poppy red, 20 is a great orange-red, and 23 is a bold pink-berry.

from left to right: 20 (1, 2, 3 Soleil), 21 (Rouge making of), 23 (Grenade In), 24 (Rose Xoxo), 26 (Beige démocrachic)
